Mode of Operation
When
establishing partnership with developing countries in need of groundwater
management tools, GADF would undertake the following activities:
- Communicate with local people and groups already involved with groundwater management and assess their interest in working together to develop, implement or improve a groundwater management system;
- Assess, with the partners, the need for technical tools, the design of an information system and the human resources needed to conduct the management tasks;
- Provide funding to meet the identified needs for technical resources;
- Provide funding through scholarships to educate existing or new staff and/or increase the level of education in hydrogeology of the team responsible for groundwater management and protection;
- Promote the transfer of knowledge and foster networking with
other organizations working in the field of hydrogeology.
